The Watt-Tracker800 is a solar panel mount for 800-1000 Watts. The Watt-Tracker2300 is a solar panel mount for 2000-2500 Watts. It is motorized to follow the sun, throughout the day, rain or shine.

There are 2 types of tracking methods - 1 motorized axis, 1 manual axis of motion and 2 axis of motorized of motion.

The following picture is a 3-dimensional CAD model, that can be examined by zooming and rotating.

Select--> CAD Model of a single motorized axis tracker. -->Give it a moment to load.

What to look for:

1. The panels are mounted on a rod that is manually adjusted to be parallel to the earth's axis. The programming of motion is easy. One axis is the hour angle and the other axis is the elevation at noon. The manually adjusted axis could be motorized.

2. The motor and gearing pivot the array during the day to face the sun, returning to the start position at the end of the day.

What to look for:

1. 2 Motors - one driving a vertical axis, the other driving a horizontal axis.

2. Compactness of the array, made possible by the rotation method.

3. For the 2300 watt unit, the method of rotation has the following features: 1). Not back drivable 2). More than 180 degrees of rotation.
